Dr. Khaled Fahmy, Minister of Environment received in his office today Dr. Redda Abdulsalam, the governor of Al Sharkia to discuss the completion of the procedures to establish a factory for recycling garbage and produce electricity on an area of 167 acres in Al-Husseiniya center, at a cost of 7.7 million Egyptian pounds.
Governor of Al Sharkia stressed that the meeting resulted in the formation of a working group of the governorate, the Ministry of Environment and the Kuwaiti German company -for implementation of the project to prepare a detailed feasibility study in preparation for the signing of the final contract between the governorate and the company.
The governor also added that once the start-up and operation of the plant, it will provide thousands of jobs for youth as well as garbage and agricultural residues collecting from around the governorate, as well as contribute to the development of cleaning equipment and the performance of the cleaners in various centers, cities and districts in the governorate.
