Dr. Redda Abdulsalam - Governor of Al Sharkia held a meeting with managers of public and central hospitals with the presence of Major General / Sami Sidehom - Deputy Governor  and Dr. Essam Amer - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health to review the problems and obstacles within the health sector in Al Sharkia.

The governor stressed that the health sector in the governorate needs more work, effort and discipline to provide quality medical service for patients, pointing out that he has today made a surprise visit to the Alahrar Zagazig hospital and decided to stop the director of the hospital from work and transferred him to investigation as he was not at the hospital and for low level of medical service for patients.

Governor also instructed the heads of the centers to have periodic follow-up on the general and central hospitals to bring discipline to work within the system. He asked the Undersecretary Minister of Health to pay attention for the choice of reception staff in hospitals and recommended the good treatment of patients attending the hospital.

For his part, Dr. / Essam Amer - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health assured that one of the main causes of impediments of the work in the health sectoris having number of non-performing hospitals for about 10 years ago, as well as the weakness of the possibilities available to the sector and demanded the hospital administrators to prepare a full report within 48 hours on the most important problems of their hospitals.
