The governor of Al Sharkia, Prof Dr. Said A. Ossman discussed, in the context of the ongoing follow-up to the issues of the governorate, especially the area of unemployment, infrastructure and rehabilitation of young people, the achievements of the Social Fund on the land of the governorate and during periodic meetings with Khaled Nasr, General Director of the Social Fund who explained that SFD works with integrated system in different fields of development community for small and micro enterprises in addition to others non- financial services .

“Since the governor came in charge, the fund has pumped 377 million pounds as follows: 192 million pounds for small projects, 111 million pounds of microenterprises in addition to about 74 million pounds in the field of infrastructure and community development in rehabilitation of schools, pavement, removal of weeds from the sides of the small canals, rehabilitation NGOs to work inlabor issues” Nasr added.

Also,the governor reviewed with the fund manager what is provided by the Social Fund through training and rehabilitation of young people and economic empowerment of women.

Moreover, the governor discussed the projects being considered by the governorate in the establishment of a professional area and rehabilitation of young people to solve the unemployment crisis and the governor praised on the performance of the Fund and the efforts for further achievements in various fields as well as in the field of road construction and infrastructure projects in poor villages.
