The Rapid Intervention Unit in Sharqia Governorate removed (5,800) tons of garbage and building waste during the month of February from the centers of Zagazig, Abu Hammad, and Minya al-Qamh, in a total of (232) transfers.
This came in light of the directives of Eng. Hazem al-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, to continue launching intensive campaigns to remove garbage, rubble, and building waste from all centers and cities of the governorate, and to immediately address all garbage collection points to limit their spread and improve visibility, to preserve the health and safety of citizens, and to preserve the aesthetic and civilized appearance of the entrances and exits of the governorate.
In this regard, Eng. Mohamed Salah, General Supervisor of the Rapid Intervention Unit at the General Diwan, explained that the Rapid Intervention Unit lifted (3500) tons of garbage and building waste from the intermediate point in Al-Ghar in Zagazig Center, with (175) transfers, in addition to lifting (1200) tons of garbage from the village of Mit Bashar in Minya Al-Qamh Center, with (48) transfers, as well as lifting (1100) tons of garbage from Abu Hammad Center during the past month of February, and delivering it to the sanitary landfill in Al-Khatara, using 10 vehicles (trailer - transport - dumper) and 2 loaders. |
