Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, followed up with Engineer Iman Mohamed Refaat, Head of the Executive Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation Projects in Sharkia, the performance rates and implementation rates of the sanitation projects being implemented in the villages of Al-Shabanat, Ghazala, Abu Jabal and Al-Alawiya, which were established at a cost of 320 million pounds to contribute significantly to providing a safe and sound sanitation project and preserving the environment and public health of citizens. Sharkia Governor confirmed that the state pays great attention to developing the infrastructure and raising its efficiency and is striving to improve the services provided to citizens by expanding the establishment of service and investment projects, especially drinking water and sanitation projects by establishing water stations, treatment and lifting stations, expulsion and slope lines and sewage networks to serve the villages and cities of the governorate, especially in remote areas deprived of services. For her part, the head of the executive body for drinking water and sanitation projects in Sharkia explained that sanitation projects are being implemented in the villages of Shabanat, Ghazala, Abu Jabal and Al-Alawiya, which include the construction of treatment plants, expulsion lines and slope networks at a cost of 320 million pounds. The percentage of implementation of civil works at Shabanat and Kafr Abu Jabal lifting station reached 70%, mechanical works 20%, slope lines 99% and expulsion lines 10%. The total implementation rate of the Ghazala village lifting station reached 25%, and all necessary procedures are being completed to establish the Al-Alawiya village lifting station in order to provide the best services to citizens by implementing safe and sound sanitation projects that benefit them. The governor of Sharkia had assigned Professor Shaaban Abu Al-Fotouh, head of Zagazig Center and City, in coordination with the head of the executive body for drinking water and sanitation projects, to follow up on the ongoing projects and remove all obstacles facing the implementing companies, obligating them to take into account the quality of work and apply the specified standard specifications to quickly complete the projects and put them into actual service to benefit the people of the governorate.
