Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Al Sharkia, witnessed the final match of the African Champions Clubs Championship, which was held today at the Suez Canal Authority grounds in Ismailia Governorate between the Sharkia Sports Club and the Aircraft Factory team, in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Major General Pilot A.H. Akram Mohamed Galal, Governor of Ismailia, Major General Ashraf Farhat, President of the Egyptian Hockey Federation and Vice President of the African Union, Dr. Hamdi Marzouk, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharkia Sports Club, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Azim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Sharkia, members of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian and African Federations, a number of parliamentarians and hockey fans. Hockey Team achieved a new achievement by winning the African Champions Clubs Championship for the twenty-eighth time in its history, after defeating the Aircraft Factory team with a score of 5-3 after the regular time ended in a 4/4 draw between the two teams. The governor expressed his pride and appreciation for the Eastern Hockey Team, which won the African Hockey Championship, and was able to raise the name of the governorate high in sports forums and record its name in letters of light in the history of hockey, wishing the team to continue its local victories and reach participation in continental and international championships. El-Ashmouny confirmed that the Eastern Hockey Team is a source of happiness and joy or its permanent position on the throne of the game locally and continentally, praising the honorable appearance of the team during its participation in the championship and raising the name of the Eastern Province high in various sports forums and presenting an honorable performance characterized by high sportsmanship that won everyone's approval. The governor was keen to take a commemorative photo with the team players, members of the technical and administrative staff, and the club's board of directors, to express their happiness with the presence of the governor among them, stressing the continuation of maintaining the championship and achieving more achievements in the sports sector. Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Azim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Al Sharkia Governor for his continuous and permanent support for the youth and sports sector and his support for all youth activities and initiatives, as well as the continuous support for the Sharkia Sports Club with its sports, cultural and social activities and working to overcome all obstacles to advance the sports system within the club's corridors to please the citizens of the governorate and to achieve more victories and championships in the sports sector.
