Eng. Hazem Al-Ashmouny, Governor of Al Sharkia, stressed the prominent societal role of civil society organizations and institutions in launching humanitarian and noble initiatives to care for the neediest families in the various villages, centers and cities of the governorate and provide them with all aspects of health and treatment care.
Al Sharkia Governor praised the fruitful and constructive cooperation between the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company and the Mosada Foundation for Charitable Works in providing a clean cup of water to the people of the governorate by extending drinking water connections to the neediest families without incurring any financial burdens.
In this context, Eng. Amer Kamal Abu Halawa, Chairman of the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, indicated that within the framework of implementing the presidential initiative, a new beginning for building the human being, and implementing the protocol signed between the company and Ihtwa Charitable Foundation to deliver drinking water for free, 50 free drinking water connections have been completed for the neediest families in several villages, for providing them with a decent life that guarantees living in a suitable home that provides the necessary requirements for life, including pure drinking water.
The Chairman of the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company added that those eligible are selected according to several criteria, the most important of which are the absence of a breadwinner for the family, people with chronic diseases, and people with capabilities and determination, after conducting field research to verify the eligibility of the case in cooperation with the Social Solidarity Directorate.
