Title:Al-Sharkia Governor witnesses the implementation of the restoration works on Abu Kabir/Faqous Road

Eng. Hazem El Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, witnessed the restoration works on the Abu Kabir/Faqous road, 4.5 km long and at a cost of 6 million pounds, implemented by the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, after the completion of the 450 mm diameter drinking water line from the Abu Kabir station nominated for connection to Saadi line, to feed the villages of the local units of Awlad Musa, Al-Haswa and Manshiyat Radwan, and to deliver a clean cup of water to citizens.

The engineer responsible for the restoration works on the road provided a detailed explanation to Governor of Al-Sharkia about the nature of the ongoing work, and it was indicated that the restoration works are being implemented in the distance between the beginning of Abu Kabir Ring Road and reaching Sayed Abdo Nasr Road, a distance of 4.5 km and a width of 3 meters, where the foundation layers have been completed and the surface asphalt layer has been lowered in preparation for the construction of the final asphalt layer with the aim of achieving traffic flow on the road.

The governor stressed the need to quickly complete the work and prepare the road for the movement of cars and pedestrians, while applying technical specifications in the work, stressing his interest in the continuous follow-up of the results of road paving works, raising the efficiency of main and side streets, and leveling all unpaved roads, to facilitate traffic and improve the level of services provided to citizens, especially in villages, while adhering to all technical requirements and specifications and adhering to the specified timetable to contribute to improving the infrastructure in the roads and bridges sector in various centers, cities and neighborhoods.

The governor was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Abdel Moaty, Deputy Governor, Mr. Mohamed Nemaa Kajak, Assistant Secretary-General of the Governorate, and Mr. Sayed Abdel Razek, Head of Abu Kabir Center and City.
