Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Al-Sharkia, confirmed that Al-Sharkia Governorate is striving to implement the axes of implementing the National Human Rights Strategy which was launched by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to promote the advancement of human rights within a framework of equality and equal opportunities, which aims at advance all the human rights in the Egyptian state through promoting and respect all the civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights are granted of him and the actual progress which is achieved in the field of promoting rights and freedoms.

From his side, Mr. Mohamed Fawzi, manager of the Human Rights Unit at  General Diwan, reviewed the unit’s efforts during 2023 AD, through which the focus was on the strategic axes of economic, social and cultural rights, “such as the right of health - the right of education - the right of food - the right of adequate housing” and the human rights for women, children, people with disabilities, youth, and the elderly people... in coordination with the competent authorities “Directorate of Social Solidarity - Directorate of Health - Directorate of Supply” by forming committees to visit the orphanages houses, the elderly houses and health facilities in order to spread the culture of human rights and address the citizens' problems of these facilities.
