Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Al Sharkia Governor, received (14) citizens from families in need of care and people of determination from various centers, cities and villages of the governorate to listen to their problems on the ground and provide the necessary solutions to them, in the meeting room of the General Office, indicating that there is a great interest in supporting and empowering people of determination after President El-Sisi declared 2018 a special year for people of determination in Egypt, in addition to provide support to the most needy and poor families within “Decent Life” initiative to provide all health and social services, in addition to develop infrastructure and study all the needs of each village. During the meeting, Al Sharkia Governor assigned the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity to disburse urgent and monthly financial aid to a number of (13) of the most needy families who are affected by the lack of a stable income to help them bear the burdens of living. Two women filed a complaint stating that there was no suitable housing for them. The governor directed representative of the Housing Fund, in coordination with the Social Solidarity Directorate, to examine their social situation to provide them with suitable housing. In a related context, Ghorab assigned the Director of the Employment Research Department at the Labor Directorate to provide suitable jobs in the private sector for (11) citizens who wish to work and earn their daily living. In order to provide aspects of health care and treatment for pathological cases, Ghorab assigned the Director General of Therapeutic Medicine in the Health Directorate to follow up on the health status of (9) pathological cases and include them in the project to treat those who are incapable and dispense the necessary treatment to them free of charge at the expense of the state. At the end of the meeting, and in response to the demands of the people of Al-Shabanat village, the governor assigned the representative of the drinking water and sanitation company to quickly complete the maintenance work and cover the swewge rooms, as well as coordination with the company implementing the existing project to quickly complete the provision of a safe and sound sanitation project in order to preserve the environment and public health of citizens.
