Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Al Sharkia Governor, confirmed that the governorate pays great attention to the investment sector and seeks to create the appropriate atmosphere for investors to establish real projects that contribute creating job opportunities for young people to live a decent life.... This came during his chairing a meeting of the Board of the Industrial Zones to discuss and review the applications submitted by Investors and identify the problems they face and find urgent solutions to ensure the continued rotation of the production wheel and attract more investments to reduce imports and achieve self-sufficiency. The meeting began by discussing a number of requests submitted by investors regarding transferring the plots allocated to them to others and changing the activity with a commitment to pay the prescribed fees, as well as approving the annexation of the plots and replacing them with other parts and adding a manufacturing activity to take what is necessary in accordance with the law and the public interest while committing to implement civil protection requirements in order to preserve the property. During the meeting, a memorandum from the Governorate’s Investor Service Department was presented regarding requests submitted by investors to approve the legalization of the situation by changing the purpose from agricultural to industrial based on a price of 220 pounds/ m2, so that the board agreed that the prescribed fees would be paid within a month from the date, while taking the necessary legal measures against non-compliant people. Al Sharkia Governor confirmed on the Director of the Investment Department, coordination with the Chairman of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company and the Chairman of the Investors Association in Belbeis Industrial Zone to complete urgent maintenance of the water station in the region to ensure permanent water continuity and provide the best services to investors. Ghorab: "I will make an inspection visit to the two industrial zones in Belbeis and Basateen Ismailia to determine the level of services provided to investors and solve any problems or obstacles they face immediately in order to support the industry and push the wheel of development and investment in those industrial zones as they are the development locomotive for the governorate."
