Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Al-Sharkia, inspected Minya Al-Qamh silo of the Egyptian Holding Company for Silos and Storage, in order to determine the regularity of the work of supplying and receiving wheat there and to ensure the availability of the requirements and controls set by the Ministry of Supply.

The governor began his tour by inspecting the work of sorting and determining the degree of cleanliness of the wheat, and he heard from the officials in the silo about the stages of supplying and storing wheat, starting with receiving the cars and loads and taking a sample by the committee formed to determine the degree of purity and quality of the crop, and then the truck scale, arriving at Nuqra area to unload the load, as well as the payment mechanism. Financial dues to suppliers and farmers according to the prices set by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade for the 2023/2024 season, which amounted to 2,000 pounds for a 23-and-a-half karat wheat ardab, 1,950 pounds for a 23 karat wheat ardab, and 1,900 pounds for a 22-and-a-half karat wheat ardab, as support for the farmer and to encourage him to supply wheat to the silos and barns designated for this purpose. .

The governor was keen to follow up on the truck scale inside the silo to ensure that it was operating properly and to know how it worked.

It was noted that the supplier weighed the empty car before loading the crop, calculated and printed the weight, and when the crop was delivered, the weight was returned through the truck scale in the silo to know the actual weight of the crop after calculating it.
