Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Al-Sharkia Governor, made an inspection tour in the streets of Zagazig to follow up on the evening shift for cleaning work and ensure that garbage accumulations are removed from the main streets and squares to create an environmental and healthy atmosphere for the citizens. The governor began his tour by inspecting Tolba Owidah and Al-Ghasham Streets, then following up on the ongoing installation of interlock tiles in the side streets in Mansheyet Al-Sadat area, after the installation of 5,000 m out of a total of 14,000 m had been completed, at a total cost of 3 million and 165.000 pounds, in line with the development and beautification plan it is witnessing. The governor stressed on the head of Zagazig Center to follow up on the company assigned to carry out the work and oblige it to take into account the locations of rain drains and sewage drains and implement them in accordance with the specified technical specifications in order to improve the services provided to the people of the region and provide the best services to its residents. The governor met with a number of citizens who thanked the governor and the executive body for their efforts in the ongoing development work in the city, as well as the continuous follow-up day and night of the implementing companies to complete the work as quickly as possible to prepare the streets for the movement of cars and pedestrians. The governor assigned the head of Zagazig Center to prepare a map of the East and West Al-Ghasham area showing all the facilities, paved streets, and streets that need paving or connecting facilities to them, as well as reviewing the residential area starting from Al-Quds Mosque towards Al Mansoura bus station to determine the area’s needs for paving and connecting facilities in order to prepare the necessary assessments to complete the work. The governor also urged the head of Zagazig Center, in coordination with the heads of the First and Second Districts, to take all legal measures against predatory vendors at the right of way and street entrances, and to warn shop owners to adhere to the spaces allocated to them and not to encroach on the sidewalk to restore discipline to the street, indicating that the governorate established the civilized market to eliminate The phenomenon of street vendors and crowding in the main streets and public squares of the city, which distorts its aesthetic and cultural appearance. Ghorab concluded his tour by following up on the ongoing construction work on the memorial to the Unknown Soldier and to the martyrs of the governorate in front of the General Diwan, at a cost of 5 million pounds, in memory of the martyrs and in gratitude for what they gave in sacrifice for the dear homeland, stressing that the head of Zagazig Center should follow up on the company assigned to carry out the work and obligate it to the specified timetable for the speedy completion of the work, taking into account the specific standards and requirements, and adding an aesthetic and civilized touch to the area commensurate with the development and beautification work taking place in the streets of Zagazig.
