Title:During Eid al-Fitr, sudden monitoring and inspection campaigns on restaurants and shops

In implementation of the instructions of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Al Sharkia Governor, to Mrs. Fayza Abdel Rahman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, in coordination with the Supply Investigations Department, the Consumer Protection Agency, the Directorate of Health and Veterinary Medicine, and the regulatory authorities, to intensify sudden inspection and oversight campaigns on various commercial activities, especially during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, to ensure the commitment of their owners in compliance with the nutritional and health requirements, ensuring the validity of the products offered for sale to citizens, and taking legal measures against those who do not comply. The Zagazig Supply Administration, headed by Mr. Abdullah Ismail, Director of Administration, Mr. Saeed Eid, Head of Commercial Control, and Ms. Abeer Al-Samra, Head of the First Supply Office, launched a campaign in conjunction with a campaign from the Veterinary Medicine and Health Directorates and the Presidency of Zagazig First District. The campaign passed by one of the restaurants, and that campaign resulted in the issuance of report No. 3015. For the year 2024, the first misdemeanor in Zagazig was filed against the responsible manager of the restaurant for possession and use of frozen poultry parts of unknown origin and not accompanied by documents indicating their source. A quantity of 42 kilograms were seized, and 10 kilograms of frozen chicken, 2 kilograms of frozen shrimp, and 2 kilograms of spices were seized. Inside one of the violating restaurants, she was executed. In a related context, a campaign from the administration’s ration control issued violation reports against a bakery for producing bread that did not meet specifications and producing underweight bread. The campaign also issued Report No. 5145 of 2024, a second misdemeanor in Zagazig, against a shop owner for not announcing prices. Report No. 5146 of 2024, a second misdemeanor in Zagazig, was issued against one of the herbalist shop owners for lack of a health certificate.
