Title:Al-Sharkia Governor: Approval of urban boundaries enables citizens to initiate licensing procedures in accordance with the law.
News Date:October 1,2026

Eng. Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, announced the approval of urban boundaries for 13 hamlets in Al-Husseiniya Center. This move aligns with established building and planning regulations and the provisions of Law No. 119 of 2008 (and its executive regulations), enabling residents of these hamlets to initiate the necessary legal licensing procedures.

The Governor explained that approving these urban boundaries facilitates the updating of urban expansion plans, accommodates urban growth, and designates locations for public services—such as healthcare and education—to meet the population's future needs. It also helps regulate construction activities and urban expansion in various directions.

The Governor commended the efforts of the General Organization for Physical Planning (GOPP) and its fruitful cooperation with the Governorate—specifically through the General Administration for Planning and Urban Development at the Governorate Headquarters—to finalize the approval procedures following the endorsement of the GOPP’s competent committee.

The details regarding the 13 hamlets whose urban boundaries were approved cover the following villages:

▪ Al-Nasiriya

▪ San El-Hagar El-Bahariya

▪ Two (2) hamlets in Al-Salhiya 3 (Al-Abtal)

▪ Five (5) hamlets in Al-Salhiya 1 (Al-Bastin)

▪ Three (3) hamlets in Al-Salhiya 7 (Al-Ahrar)

▪ Al-Salhiya Bastin

Work is also underway to finalize approvals for the remaining hamlets in the Governorate, pending approval by the committee formed within the General Organization for Physical Planning.
