During Al-Sharkia Executive Council meeting, Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni reviewed performance indicators for several strategic and priority service-related projects, The review aimed to monitor progress rates and assess actual implementation percentages, ensuring improved service quality for citizens, maximizing the utilization of state resources, and supporting development efforts across the governorate's various districts and cities, This includes intensifying efforts to improve overall performance, achieve citizen satisfaction, enforce public order, and implement presidential directives in all vital sectors.
The Governor emphasized that the regularization of state-owned land is a top priority, receiving continuous attention and monitoring from the government. He noted that, to date, 14,471 contracts have been registered across the governorate's districts and cities.
During the meeting, the Governor instructed the heads of districts, cities, and neighborhoods to coordinate with the Spatial Changes and Field Monitoring Department to ensure the immediate and complete removal of all newly constructed illegal buildings, preventing any further development.
Engineer Shaimaa Salah, Director of the Spatial Data Unit, reviewed the status of the spatial data system in the governorate during July. The system processed 211,438 data points, of which 210,217 were addressed, representing a 99.4% implementation rate.
The governor directed the heads of the centers and cities to monitor the building violations reconciliation process daily and to assess the progress rates within the technological centers across the governorate's various centers, cities, and districts. The status of reconciliation requests for certain building violations during July was reviewed, showing that, to date, 178,736 reconciliation requests have been received, representing a 96% implementation rate. The total number of requests received by the technological centers for Forms 7 and 8 reached 104,893.
Governor of Al-Sharkia instructed the heads of districts, cities, and neighborhoods to provide all necessary assistance to citizens applying for business licenses and to encourage them to take advantage of the package of incentives and discounts offered by the Ministry of Local Development to legalize their commercial establishments. These incentives include discounts of up to 50% on license fees.
In this context, Engineer Wiam Abdel Hakim, Director of the Business Licensing Center, reviewed the current status during July, noting that a total of 6,606 licenses had been issued to date.
The Governor also instructed the heads of districts, cities, and neighborhoods to coordinate with the Advertising Department at the Governorate headquarters to review all advertisements displayed on houses and remove any unlicensed ones.
In this regard, Engineer Amira El-Shahat, Director of the Advertising Department, reviewed the advertising status during July, reporting that 30,232 advertisements had been licensed, and 450 illegal advertisements had been removed in coordination with the relevant authorities.
The governor emphasized the importance of coordination and cooperation between directors of service departments, government agencies, and heads of districts, cities, and neighborhoods, and the need to overcome all obstacles hindering the implementation of service and development projects to ensure their swift completion and operational readiness. This will allow citizens to experience firsthand the tangible achievements of the state.
The governor also directed all relevant authorities to consider the construction and development of government schools, hospitals, water treatment plants, and sewage systems as national projects. He instructed them to allow for the simultaneous commencement of licensing procedures and directed all concerned parties to facilitate the connection of utilities to government school projects through flexible mechanisms to ensure their operation within the specified timeframes.
