Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, attended the AL-Sharkia Directorate of Religious Endowments' celebration of Islamic New Year 1448 AH, held at Al-Fath Mosque in Zagazig city.
The celebration began with Al-Maghrib prayer, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Sheikh Abdel Fattah El-Tarouti. Then, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Hamed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Religious Endowments, delivered a speech highlighting the profound meanings and lessons learned from the Prophet's migration (Hijra). He emphasized that the Hijra was a historical turning point, embodying the values of faith, work, sacrifice, patience and correct planning for establishing the state and achieving the Islam's message.
The Governor was keen to take photos with Mohamed El-Qallagi, a star of the "State of Recitation" competition and religious singer Fayyad Ahmed Fayyad, winner of first place globally in religious chanting, as well as several other attendees.
The celebration was attended by Professor Dr. Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University; Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Moaty, Deputy Governor; Mr. Mohamed Batisha, Assistant Secretary-General of the Governorate; Brigadier General Ahmed Shaaban, Military Advisor of the Governorate and a number of executive, security and police leaders, as well as Islamic religious figures and a gathering of local residents.
The Governor congratulated His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the people of Al-Sharkia Governorate and the entire Muslim world on the occasion of the new Hijri year, praying to God Almighty to be a year filled with goodness and blessings and that God protect Egypt, its people, its army and its police and guide its leadership towards what is best for its prosperity.
