Hazem El-Ashmouni Governor of Al-Sharkia Governorate confirmed that the governorate has begun implementing procedures to replace prepaid electricity meters with permanent meters for citizens who have completed reconciliation processes, this initiative aims to facilitate the process for citizens and simplify procedures, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership and the Ministry of Local Development's mandate to expedite the resolution of this vital issue.

Key Outcomes:

• A new service has been added at the technology centers to facilitate the replacement of prepaid meters with permanent meters.

• Replacement requests are now being accepted from citizens who have completed reconciliation processes.

• A new application form (398) has been created on the reconciliation system at the technology centers.

• Citizens will receive an official letter to proceed to the utility companies and complete the meter replacement procedures.

Key Requirements:

• Citizens must possess one of the reconciliation completion forms (7, 8, or 10).

• The meter replacement request must be submitted through the relevant technology center.

• Procedures must be completed in accordance with Reconciliation Law No. 187 of 2023 and its executive regulations.
