Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, inaugurated the Emergency and Reception Department, the Internal Medicine Department and the Mammogram Clinic at Bilbeis Central Hospital. The project costs a total of 21 million Egyptian pounds, was funded by the Ministry of Health and Population and civil society organizations as part of the state's efforts to support the health sector and improve the quality of the medical services which are provided to citizens.
The governor inaugurated the Emergency and Reception Department after its renovation, which included the addition of 12 beds and modern medical equipment to enhance the patient care at a cost of 8 million Egyptian pounds.
During his tour inside the hospital, the governor spoke with patients to inquire about the quality of medical services provided and their satisfaction. He directed the hospital manager to immediately address all the patient needs and deal immediately with any comments or complaints.
The inauguration was attended by Dr. Ahmed El-Baily, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health of Al-Sharkia, Brigadier General Ahmed Shaaban, the governorate's military advisor, Major General Mr. Ahmed Shaker, Head of Belbeis City , Dr. Iyad Darwish, Director of Hospitals' Department, Dr. Nasr Shaaban, Director of Critical and Urgent Care Department, Dr. Anwar Shaheen, manager of the Hospital , Dr. Ali Al-Naqeeti, Mr. Rashid Amer, Members of Parliament and a number of executive and health leaders in the governorate.
