As part of Governor Hazem El-Ashmouni follow-up on the efforts of Al-Sharkia Consumer Protection Agency to support and protect citizens' rights, combat monopolistic practices in the markets and control the unfit for human consumption goods, by launching continuous market campaigns are being in coordination with the relevant authorities to monitor all the purchase activities and issue reports against the violators.

Based on the instructions of Mr. Ibrahim El-Seginy, Head of Consumer Protection Agency, to activate the oversight system for market control, preserve consumer rights and address all the forms of fraud and exploitation by implementing the Consumer Protection Law No. (181) of 2018.

During the past month of March, Mr. Sherif Gomaa, the general supervisor of the regional branch of Consumer Protection Agency in Al-Sharki, explained that the agency had launched several monitoring campaigns on markets, warehouses, food establishments, restaurants and veterinary medicine shops in the governorate's centers and cities, in cooperation with the Administrative Control Authority, the Supply and Veterinary Medicine Directorates, the Supply Investigations Department, the Free Treatment and Pharmaceutical Inspection Departments at Health Directorate and the Environmental Affairs and Industrial Development Authority.
