Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, confirmed the smooth progress of the electoral process on the first day of the second round of the 2025 parliamentary elections. All polling stations opened on time at 9:00 AM, as determined by the National Elections Authority, with all necessary arrangements in place to facilitate voting for citizens to easily and conveniently choose their representatives in Parliament. This came during his monitoring via video conference from the National Emergency and Public Safety Network Control Center at the Governorate headquarters, in coordination with the main operations room headed by the Cabinet and the Ministry of Local Development. He conveyed a message of reassurance regarding the smooth conduct of voting at all polling stations, the continued turnout of voters, and the absence of any obstacles that could disrupt the electoral process. 🔹 The governor indicated that all executive bodies in the Governorate are working at full capacity to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process and the provision of all necessary support and facilities to voters ensure they can exercise their constitutional right to choose their representatives in Parliament in an atmosphere of order and transparency. The governor emphasized his personal monitoring of the electoral process at all polling stations, both on the ground and through the national network and the established operations room. He stressed the importance of unifying efforts among all relevant authorities to perform their duties to the fullest extent and maintain Sharqia's leading position in the electoral landscape.
