We affirm that the state is giving great attention by integrating persons with disabilities and providing them with all means of support.
Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, announced the completion of distributing (1146) integrated services cards to the persons with disabilities in various centers and cities of the governorate. This is one of the most prominent initiatives launched by the government to improve the lives of persons with disabilities and ensure obtaining their legally rights. It is also an important step towards achieving the full integration of this group into the Egyptian society and enhancing the quality of their life by providing diverse facilities and services.
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Hamdi Abdel-Motejalli, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, explained that the first batch of the integrated services cards, number (26-27), reached (1146) cards and was distributed to the eligible individuals.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity added that the conditions for obtaining the integrated services card include the following:
· Undergoing a medical examination conducted by one of the Ministry of Health hospitals or one of its affiliated bodies, university or teaching hospitals, or the hospitals which are affiliated to the Armed Forces and the Police.
· Conduct a functional examination at the nearest social rehabilitation offices in order to prove the existence of the disability.
