Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, directed the heads of centers, cities, and districts to be present in the field on streets and main roads to quickly remove rainwater accumulations, in full coordination with officials from the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, and to deal immediately with any emergencies to ensure the safety of citizens.
The governor had previously issued strict instructions to the heads of centers, cities, and districts to be well-prepared to confront the weather fluctuations and rainfall coinciding with the winter season. He emphasized the need to review sewage networks and drains and ensure the insulation of streetlights to prevent any electrocution accidents, thus ensuring the safety of citizens.
The governor confirmed the continuous operation of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network Control Center at the Governorate headquarters around the clock, with the highest level of preparedness in all centers, cities, and districts. He also stressed the importance of linking subsidiary operations rooms to the main operations room at the Governorate headquarters to address any emerging problems and deal with them immediately and resolve them as quickly as possible.
