Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Sharkia, emphasized that the state attaches great importance to eradicating illiteracy, considering it a barrier to development. He also emphasized the need to expand community education projects and encourage literacy classes in villages and rural areas as part of a plan to eradicate illiteracy completely, thus achieving a cultured society capable of facing future challenges.
The governor added that, within the framework of the state's commitment to promoting human capital and enhancing the efficiency of its workers, as essential partners in preserving its civilized image, the governorate seeks to provide all forms of support, including qualifications and training, to illiterate workers, contributing to improved performance and achieving comprehensive development in various workplaces.
For his part, Mr. Louay Abdullah Salim, Director General of the General Authority for Adult Education branch in Sharkia, explained that, as part of the implementation of the "Factories without Illiteracy" initiative, the branch's Recruitment and Certification Committee held an exam to obtain a certificate for 20 successful students working at a company operating in the ready-made garment-manufacturing sector.
The committee also delivered 15 certificates and held a Recruitment and Certification Contract for 20 successful students at a food manufacturing company in the 10th of Ramadan City. The Director General of the General Authority for Adult Education's branch in Sharqia added that what we are witnessing today is an honorable example of a nation's sons who have defied difficulties and proven that willpower is the key to change. He emphasized the continued provision of all forms of support to all those seeking education and the acquisition of knowledge.
