Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, inaugurated the development and upgrade works at the CT Scan Unit at Kafr Saqr Central Hospital, which was equipped with equipment from the Ministry of Health and Population. The project, which was implemented at a total cost of EGP 17.5 million, contributes to improving the health and treatment services provided to patients and visitors. The governor also inaugurated the Urology Endoscopy and Lithotripsy Center, which was established in cooperation with civil society organizations and equipped with equipment from the Ministry of Health and Population at a total cost of EGP 16.5 million. This project aims to improve the level of services provided to the governorate's residents. The governor's visit to the hospital included an inspection of the dialysis department, which houses 53 dialysis machines and serves 189 patients. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the hospital's director of administration follows up on urgent maintenance of patient waiting chairs and medical equipment to protect the lives of patients and visitors. The governor also met with a number of patients and visitors to the hospital, listening to their concerns and learning about their needs. He directed the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and the head of Kafr Saqr Center to address them immediately, within the available resources. At the end of the hospital visit, the governor reviewed the progress of construction work on the new hospital building. Dr. Ahmed El-Bili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, provided a detailed explanation to the governor of Sharkia about the nature of the ongoing work. He noted that the hospital is built on an area of 6,300 square meters and consists of a main building on an area of 5,374 square meters, at a cost of EGP 300 million, as part of the Ministry of Health and Population's investment plan. |
