Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, held a meeting to discuss the preparations and proactive procedures to confront the severe air pollution episodes for  2025 season, and to determine the roles and responsibilities of the relevant authorities and ensure their effectiveness. The meeting was attended by Eng. Lobna Abdel Aziz, Deputy Governor, Major General Abdel Ghaffar El-Deeb, Secretary General of the Governorate, Mr. Mohamed Kojak, Assistant Secretary General of the Governorate, Dr. Amal Ismail, Head of the Central Administration for Agricultural Extension at the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Hossam Amin, Head of the Branch Affairs Sector at the Environmental Affairs Agency, Dr. Essam Amer, Advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Dr. Omaima Sawan, Advisor to the Waste Regulatory Authority, Dr. Magdy El-Hosary, Director General of the Regional Branch of the Environmental Affairs Agency in Sharkia and Ismailia Governorates, Dr. Alaa Azouz, Head of the Agricultural Extension Sector at the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Mohamed Hassan, National Coordinator of the Air Pollution and Climate Change Management Project in Greater Cairo, Eng. Emad Mohamed Gengen, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture in Sharkia, Eng. Gamal Ahmed Mohamed, Director General of Agrarian Reform, Eng. Maher El-Shenaf, Director of the Environmental Affairs Department in the Governorate and Mr. Hesham Abdel Maqsoud, Director of Network Control The National Emergency and Public Safety Directorate at the General Diwan, Mr. Mohamed El-Sayed, Director of the Field Follow-up Department at the General Diwan and a number of heads of centers and cities and directors of agricultural departments.
