Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Al Sharkia Governor, assigned the heads of centers, cities, and neighborhoods to intensify surprise ration campaigns and oversight on gas stations, bakeries, factories, refrigerators selling frozen meat and poultry, butcher shops, supply grocers, and local rice mills to ensure that their owners adhere to the ration requirements, review their licenses, ensure that the support reaches those who deserve it, and take legal measures against those who are not committed. In this context, Mr. Ahmed Dahi, head of the center and city of Deiarb Negm, accompanied the ration and various departments and divisions concerned with the city’s presidency, launched a major inspection campaign on a number of bakeries in the areas of “Saft Zureiq, Safour, and Deerb Al-Balad.” Accordingly, the campaign resulted in the issuance of a report of the lack of weight of a loaf of bread in one of the bakeries in Saft Zureiq. The head of the center also directed the committee formed to monitor the markets to carry out surprise inspection campaigns on a regular basis to monitor the quality of food and prices and issue immediate reports for violators in implementation of the governor’s directives and to combat the greed of merchants and commercial fraud.
