Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Al Sharkia Governor, assigned the heads of centers, cities, and neighborhoods to carry out field follow-up and tighten control over markets and shops to ensure the availability of food commodities at reasonable prices and to control markets to combat high prices, and to alleviate the burden of the simple citizen. In this context, Mr. Ashraf Amer, head of the center and city of Minya al-Qamh, assigned the vice president of the center, in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Affairs, Economic Affairs, Veterinary Medicine, Health, Supply, and the various departments concerned with the presidency of the center, to carry out a campaign to visit the stores in the area of Minya al-Qamh city, in order to monitor the markets and ensure the availability of vegetables and fruits, fish, foodstuffs, meat, and poultry, as well as monitoring prices, production date, product shelf life, and quality of the product offered to citizens. In a related context, the campaign was keen to ensure the quality, suitability and source of products provided for human consumption, health certificates for workers, the extent of application of environmental and health standards, and compliance with standards of storage conditions according to sanitary methods. The deputy center also confirmed the cleanliness of the place and alerted the committee in charge of the campaign to take all legal measures against violators.
