Title:Al-Sharkia Governor meets with coal mines owners

Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Al-Sharkia, stressed the importance of reconciling the conditions of the owners of traditional coal stoves and operating them in accordance with the approved environmental models in order to preserve the environment and public health of citizens and to ensure the financial and family stability of those working in them and to enter under the umbrella of the state and the law.

This came during his meeting with the owners of the cameras in the centers (Minya Al-Qamh - Belbeis - Faqus - Al-Husseiniya), in the presence of Engineer Sami Mujil, Assistant Secretary General of the Governorate, Counselor Zakaria Al-Shafi’i, Legal Advisor to the Governorate, Dr. Jalal Abdel Karim, Head of the Center and City of Belbeis, Mr. Muhammad Al-Abasiri, Head of the Center and City of Faqus, and Mr. Ashraf. Amer, head of Minya Al-Qamh Center and City, Mr. Muhammad Al-Awadi, head of Al-Husseinia Center and City, and Engineer Maher Al-Shannaf, Director of the Environmental Affairs Department in the governorate, in the meeting hall of the General Diwan.

The Governor assigned the Director of Environmental Affairs Department to prepare an accurate inventory of the nature of the coal pits within the governorate so that their owners can begin the licensing procedures, legalize the situation, and benefit from the development of the pits with environmentally friendly furnaces that meet all environmental requirements by providing the necessary financing with soft loans from the Small, Medium and very small Enterprises Development Agency.

The governor stressed the importance of benefiting from developed oven models to develop cameras to reduce pollution and preserve soil and water bodies, noting that it is an advanced method that protects its workers and protects them from smoke, fumes and diseases, saying that I am not against any activity that creates job opportunities and generates income for its owners. During the meeting, the governor gave the owners of the plots a period of 3 months for them to submit papers proving their seriousness in reconciling the situation to study the obstacles of each case separately and to address the competent authorities to resolve them in accordance with the legal procedures taken in this regard, stressing the necessity of taking all legal measures against those who are not serious.

The governor also revealed the possibility of providing a plot of land on an area of ​​105 acres in Al-Husseinia Center to establish a complex area for cameras that meets all environmental requirements and will help develop the industry and provide job opportunities for young people to improve income, which will reflect on the Egyptian economy.

At the end of the meeting, the owners of the machines thanked Governor of Al-Sharkia for his interest in their industrial activity and his keenness to bring them under the umbrella of the state and the law, expressing their desire to benefit from the loans provided by the Enterprise Development Agency in order to develop and advance their industry.
