Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Al-Sharkia, confirmed that the governorate pays great attention to the health sector and seeks, in coordination with the Directorate of Health Affairs, to provide all aspects of health care and treatment for patients and those visiting hospitals and health units, especially the elderly and those with chronic diseases.

Governor of Al-Sharkia added that he is keen to provide all means of support to develop the capabilities of health hospitals that provide services to citizens and upgrade them to provide appropriate treatment service and overcome obstacles facing the health sector according to the available capabilities, stressing the need for concerted efforts and community participation between all agencies, institutions, governmental and private bodies and civil society to provide medical equipment and develop various medical departments in hospitals to provide better health services to citizens.

For his part, Dr. Hisham Masoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, reviewed the extent of the achievement achieved in the health sector during the year 2023, by supporting health projects in the governorate with more than 2.5 billion pounds from the directorate’s investment plan, financial support from the Ministry of Health and Population, and contributions from civil society to provide decent medical services for the people of the governorate by 2023.
