Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, inaugurated the new renovated Emergency and Reception Unit at El-Ibrahimia Central Hospital, after the completion of its upgrade and modernization, at an estimated cost of 6 million Egyptian pounds, was funded by the Ministry of Health as part of the state's efforts to improve the healthcare system and enhance the quality of medical services which are provided to citizens.
The inauguration was attended by Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Moaty, Deputy Governor; Brigadier General Ahmed Shaaban, the governorate's military advisor; Dr. Ahmed El-Baily, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sharqia; Dr. Bahaa Abu Shuaisha, Undersecretary of the Directorate of Health Affairs; Dr. Iyad Darwish, Manager of the Directorate's Hospitals Department; Dr. Sherif Shaheen, General Manager of Curative Medicine and Mr. Mohsen Qandil and Mr. Mohamed Abu Zeid, the Deputies Head of El-Ibrahimia City.
The Governor emphasized that developing the Emergency and Reception unit in the central hospitals is a top priority for improving the quality of healthcare services which are provided to citizens. He praised the role of the Ministry of Health and civil society in supporting the government hospitals and providing modern medical equipment, which positively impacts the level of healthcare within the governorate.
The governor concluded his visit by emphasizing the governorate’s continued efforts, in cooperation with all the relevant authorities in supporting and developing the health sector, in implementation of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to improve the healthcare system and provide a decent life for citizens.
