Al-Sharkia was honored by the visit of the holy family to Tanis and Belbis because of the tyranny Herodous.

Jousef Al-Najar came with Virgin Mary and the baby Christ. This trip was very hard through the deserts but when the family came to Tanis, the prosperity began, where spring of water was sprung. Also, when the family came to the city all the statues of gods were destroyed.
